Candidates exploring the call to ordained and lay ministry are invited to special Diocesan Discernment Days.
Here, the Bishop meets with candidates to talk about their journey towards ministry and they spend some time engaged in group work and involved in various exercises. The group of candidates are normally split into four (A,B,C,D). Below is an outline of how a typical day looks.

10.45 – 11.30 Interview A Meeting with the Bishop B Exercise C
11.30 – 12.15 Interview B Meeting with the Bishop A Exercise D
12.15- 1pm Interview D Meeting with the Bishop C Exercise B
1pm – 1.45pm Lunch
1.45 – 2.30 Interview C Meeting with the Bishop D Exercise A
2.30 -3.30 Group Exercise
3.45 – 5.00 Discerners’ meeting
