A story telling event in Llangollen, hosted by Wales’ first Missioner in Residence, will hear real-life accounts of being a Stranger in a Strange Land.
Mark Yaconelli, a world renowned community and youth worker, has been working with churches and communities across North and Mid Wales since February. He’s been pioneering storytelling events to develop community empathy, understanding and relations.
In what will be one of his last public engagements during his residency, Mark will host this Hearth Event, showcasing the training he’s been delivering to more than 60 people across the Diocese during his stay.
Among the storytellers are a charity worker with refugees in Calais, a Catholic priest and a former sailor.
Stranger in a Strange Land takes place at Llangollen Pavilion on July, 29 at 7pm – 9pm. It is a free event with suggested donations of £3. All money raised will go to SHARE which supports homeless and refugees everywhere.
