Three people have been awarded the Order of St Asaph by the Bishop of St Asaph.
During a special Evensong service at St Asaph Cathedral on 9 October, the two women and one man were presented with medals signifying their admittance to the order.
The Order of St Asaph was launched in 2013 by the Bishop, the Rt Revd Gregory Cameron to celebrate the contribution made by lay people to the work of the Diocese.
Sadly, this year, one recipient, Meg Mullock, was remembered posthumously with her husband, Roger collecting the award on her behalf. Mrs Mullock is commemorated for her work on the Diocesan Standing Committee and her steadfast commitment to setting up Diocesan Year of Pilgrimage.
The other two recipients are:
- Carol Jones who was a long-standing member of the Diocesan Board of Finance, Board of Nomination and Parsonage Board and a lay rep on the Church in Wales Governing Body.
- John Solbé, Head Steward at St Asaph Cathedral for his planning, coordination and smooth execution of large diocesan services.
