Penedeyrn Mission Area Leader and Rector of Bala

We are seeking an enabling and imaginative priest who will lead the Mission Area of Penedeyrn and work with and encourage lay and clergy colleagues in developing a vision to extend mission and ministry in Bala and its surrounding Mission Area.

Bala is situated in North Wales in an area of outstanding natural beauty at the head of the Dee Valley. The busy market town of Bala has as its motto ‘Calon Gynnes Cymru, the Warm Heart of Wales’ and has a high percentage of Welsh speakers. The church is in good financial health and the church building has been re-ordered with the help of a large Heritage Lottery Fund grant. There is a four bedroomed Rectory that is well positioned at the heart of the community.

The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh is essential.
